Description

Welcome to inkl, the last news app you’ll ever download. We show you the world’s most interesting and important news, from sources you know and trust.

Enjoy brilliant reporting and analysis from publishers you don't see on other news apps, like The Economist, Bloomberg, Financial Times, Foreign Policy, and hundreds of others around the world.

See stories curated to inform and surprise you, and make it easier and faster for you to follow news that matters to you. We don’t care about selling ads (inkl is ad-free) or going viral (inkl is a paid service where you are the customer, not the product). So instead of clickbait and fake news, we show you news you won’t see elsewhere, like our Good News feed, which starts you off with three positive stories every morning. Or our Analysis feed, which pulls together the latest long reads from publishers like The Financial Times and BusinessWeek. You can also dive deeper into related articles below every story that help you really understand the news, overcome biases, and burst the social media filter bubble.

Try inkl for free with a no-obligation 7-day trial. We don’t charge you automatically, so there’s no need to cancel if you don’t like what you see. Just tap ‘download’ and enjoy the world’s best news coverage, completely free for a week.

Scotland - a separate country?

Wonderful aggregator app - a commendable resource ... but ... being a subscriber to a couple of “Scottish” news sources enables me to maintain the entitlement to a distinctive independent frame-of-mind ( I do not consider myself “British” ) and I would absolutely love to see a more comprehensive appreciation in the world of the distinctiveness of my country and its distinctive perceptions.
The (Glasgow) Herald and The National (Scotland) are wonderfully “separate” from the UK’s “mainstream media” and I’d love to see them included in your selection of copy.
Maybe sometime ?

Really impressed with inkl

This idea of a combined news feed had been tried a few times over the years and it would appear the inkl team has done it's research first; the app is solid with the option to really dial down the font size. It's smooth and easy to navigate. The price is in the sweet spot with a range of top titles and local news, and they do an excellent job of filtering out today's constant "news" noise. It's like what news used to be; what is supposed to be. Long may it continue.

Great way to support quality journalism

Brilliant concept, well executed for a reasonable monthly fee. Two possible improvements:

1. In the news filters, I’d find it helpful to see a basic description of each publisher: namely the scope of their news coverage and where they’re based.

2. Access to daily puzzles like crosswords, sudoku etc. I appreciate these things aren’t ‘news’, but if like me you want your Inkl subscription to completely replace your newspaper subscription(s), then this is a bit of a gap.
