It’s not that bad for a new app

Although this is not equivalent to manga rock, but this is a new app so for now it is to be expected to be like this. I just hope they can add on more features that is similar to manga rock and add on all of the missing manga/manhua/manhwa that were on manga rock. Also would like a all page which displays all of the comics.

A Massive Step Down

This is a massive step down from MangaRock, I thought maybe with them going “Official” it’d be a great way to support the actual creators and such but the end-product we got is extremely lacklustre, with the main problems being:

A) The selection is abysmally small, I can understand that it’s going to be hard to get a lot of bigger licenses but the selection is just laughable at the moment

B) What is available is YEARS behind both scanlations and official releases. Fairy tail concluded years ago with 500 chapters and the service only provides 40 at the moment, and fire force is already on over 150 chapters YET they only have 30 available. What is the point of launching with such big series when they’re not even fully available, feels like a way to keep people subbed without needing to get NEW series in

C) Not worth the price. “A cup of coffee” is what they describe their price but at £5 that isn’t true. I think £5 is an understandable price for what they promised but what we got is nowhere close. Shonen Jump is £2 a month and is more worthwhile than INKR. Apple Arcade is £5 and is mor worthwhile, there just is not enough value behind this subscription at the moment.

I hope that INKR is able to improve because we need more easily accessible manga that actually supports the creators BUT in the current state it’s just sad.

Guys i really want this project to succed, but you really need to inprove!
how come the creator of manga rock, an app which was almost perfect for reading manga, cannot nail a new app? I just open start scrolling hoping to find something non-mainstream. Category search are very limited (but i notice tag are there! So..) Then my eye went on a manga i read! Lovely! Wanted to check if there is anything from the same author and... Oh. You forgot to mention the author. To find it, you have to press “more” scroll down, then scroll left after all the name of publisher, printer, etc... This need to inprove. Author name should be mention just after the title! Keep it working guys, i have great hope in you.

More to add to the drama. If you try to download offline, and the screen turn off, the app crash, stopping downloading. There is no “download in background option” either!!

Last but not least: how come there is no horizontal viewer? I like reading from ipad with facing pages, as it’s about the size of the originals, and here is not possible! This is such a basic feature!

It really seems you already gave up on developing this app….
