Poor app functionality

I have other apps to read books. This one hightlights text in bright pink as it reads, but there is no way to change the colour, despite it saying so in the settings. I changed the text to open dyslexic, again this did not work. The play button is annoying if you need to double tap the screen and accidentally tap the text which it jumps to. But better than the web version which is terrible and almost impossible to change the reading speed on without it jumping to 200% speed! Different books in this app have different player interfaces also, it's really confusing. No ability for night time theme either, book stays white. Maybe there could be an option to keep the player controls open so it is easy to pause the book. Think this app could do far better and have far more workable customisation since it is used in education and for people with different needs. Really disappointed. It was last updated 2 years ago which indicates the lack of commitment to the app.
