Simultaneously novel and retro, Into the Dim is a dungeon crawler with a turn-based twist. As you explore grayscale dungeons, you’ll need to carefully plan each movement or be attacked by skeletons, flying eyes and other monsters. Filled with chiptune blips, a delightfully hardcore difficulty and 8-bit graphics that would feel at home on a Game Boy, it's a rewardingly old-school experience.
Where is into the dim 2 already!!!
I LOVED this game. This game was fun, challenging and all-round a great game. My only problem is that the final boss is way to much RNG, if you get good RNG you can with with relative ease but if you don't. OH BOY YOUR IN FOR A RIDE. It took me ages to defeat the final boss for an ok reward. But the biggest question I have is, WHERE IS THE SEQUAL? It said at the end of the game that they might make a SEQUAL but a year later and still nothing. If a sequal sequal was made I would be super happy and I would love to dive into into the dim 2!
Irritating at the start
This game is built around making you spend money. The difficulty isn’t challenging, it’s just annoying.
Edit: After beating the game on normal I’ve changed my mind somewhat. After collecting enough coins and maxing out all of your health, moves, and ammo the game becomes a lot more fair and the challenge begins to be a lot more fun.
That doesn’t excuse the beginning of the game being unfair if you don’t have the necessary upgrades.
