Description

IPAF’s ePAL app is your new digital wallet to store and share your IPAF powered access licences and qualifications, including the PAL Card for mobile elevating work platform (MEWP), mast climbing work platform (MCWP) and hoist operators. Competent Assessed Persons (CAP), MEWPs for Managers, Site Assessment (for MEWP Selection) all can be added.

Easily record your operating experience on powered access machines through the digital logbook, giving you an overview of the time spent operating multiple machines.

Have the latest powered access safety and best practice tips and advice in your pocket, and get access to your operator safety guide or site safety guide based on your linked licences.

What’s New

Version 3.1.0

What’s New in ePAL 3.1

Building on version 3.0, which introduced integration with Trackunit On and the ability to unlock access-controlled MEWPs, this update adds automatic work-log creation. When you unlock a compatible machine using your digital Bluetooth key, a worklog is now created in ePAL.

Note: The machine must be imported into ePAL first, and not all Trackunit-enabled machines can be un-locked via the app. Always follow site access proce-dures.

Confusing

Another app that takes you around in circles. Like another review says, you open the app, it takes you to the web, then when you try to access any information it takes you back to the app where you have to log in again! I’ve only had it a couple of weeks and am waiting for my 3a, 3b qualification to appear there I’ll update my review when this happens. I’m just glad I paid 40 odd pounds for a card (a rip off price), a certain and secure way to show your qualification on site.
Do IPAF and other organisations update their procedures just for the sake of it? As they say, if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it.

1 star is generous frankly

You have to have this app to have IPAF qualifications however, short of being able to set up an account and get a registration number nothing works.
To log in it has to open a web browser but then once it has logged you in and you close the newly opened tab you are just back to the log in Home Screen.
No idea how I’m supposed to access any of the information it’s supposed to have available or even to see my license.
Absolute fail.

Pointless

App that is web based not a proper app. What is the point. They could not bother and just make an account on website to log into and do all the staff. Releasing something like this in this day and age is a joke. On top of that keeps crashing and not properly recording works or familiarisation. Frustrating pile of mess
