Seems to be working again

So, updating my last rating from 1 star to 3 as iPlod is now working again with iOS 16.4.1 installed. I would happily rate higher based on my earlier experience and use of the app, but when it stop working the developer didn’t appear to do much about it. The app wasn’t operational for months and no explanation offered until this morning, where the developer highlighted a conflict between the app and the previous iOS.

This is a useful app and if there was a bit more consistency with it working then it would be a 5 star rating.

Developer Response ,

The problem with the app crashing at launch was due to a bug with iOS 16. This now appears to be resolved. Please update the software on your iPhone to the latest version - iOS 16.4.1 - the app should launch fine once you have updated your software.

As this was an issue with the iOS software and not the app please consider amending your rating. Many thanks.

Outdated & will not open in IOS 16

Dear developer, You know full well you have a serious issue with the app not opening in IOS 16, so why the delay in addressing this? Also - why no content update in years? You have enough criticism via reviews regarding this issue. Your lack of action in both of these issues is making your existing client base both angry and resentful. Not a good marketing strategy. With each passing day of inaction, your clients and potential clients are drifting over to Pocket Sergeant in significant numbers. Time to engage with your customers positively and take effective action instead of griping about 1* reviews I would argue. UPDATE Jan 23: developer, you are an outright scammer. You know full well your product is not working for Apple users yet, you have not made any attempt to rectify the issues. You have had ample warnings and time to sort this. This is called fraud and you have been reported to the UK authorities.

Update Feb 23 - no response from developer. They know they are committing fraud by selling a product that doesn’t work. Deliberately does not respond to requests for refunds or support. Shameful for an ex officer.

Reported to Apple for app removal.

App no longer works / no longer loads

Having to write a review as there is no way to contact the developer, or Apple via Report A problem. App was working fine last time I used it, tried today but it does not load, it opens and in less than a second closes / crashes. Please fix as your customers have paid for an app which no longer works. The last update it seems was 7 years ago.

UPDATE - App finally updated to work with the latest IOS and hopefully they will keep on top of these type of updates moving forward without further issues like this. Revised my rating as requested.
