IQ Connect is a resource for anyone working in the mineral products and extractives industries. If you have an operational or leadership role, easily access guidance on a range of topics directly from your mobile. This is a global service providing industry leading learning materials.
This app brings together industry recognised standards, principles and processes in a digestible format. It provides information on all the stages within the extraction and processing of mineral products. In addition, it also contains the IQ Skills Wheel – the tool used by IQ members to build their all-round knowledge and professionalism.
The Institute of Quarrying (IQ) has been supporting people working in the mineral products and extractive industries for more than 100 years. We are the only professional body with the history, knowledge and international experience to advise both individuals and organisations about the skills, training and personal development needs required to build successful careers within this industry.

An excellent tool for, on the go, bitesized learning
After receiving emails and seeing the posts on Facebook about the app I decided I’d download it and see what it was about. Once set up and linked to your membership account with the IQ (a simple enough process) the app lets you access lots of small bitesized learning topics and webinar content. This is brilliant for maintenance of skills and keeping CPD up to date. I have seen that it also links to your CPD app so you should be able to track where you might have deficits and focus on more targeted learning material.
Overall for anyone in the industry looking to keep themselves topped up with knowledge this is a good app to help
