Description
Use iSentry to instantly turn your computer with web camera into a Internet-connected motion-sensing security system. Just launch iSentry, point your camera to the region you want to monitor, and prepare to receive a video or photo should any motion activity is detected.
With wide selection of settings, iSentry allows you to configure quality of pictures and video clips, enable sound, alerts and receive email notifications about the events detected. Also iSentry can upload the pictures and video clips it takes on disk or in iPhoto album.

Does anyone know if this works once youve logged out?
Great app but i dont want anyone being able to use my mac while im away so would need it on the log in screen?
Not much use
To be honest, the free version is not much use. No matter how I set it up it generates an alarm within minutes of turning on. I can click on "Start" and leave the room, close the door and hear the 30 second timedown beep from outside. With the room empty, no pets, no insects, and nothing to move, even with the sensitivity set to minimum the app will alarm within 3 or 4 minutes, generating loads of still images. When I check the images there is no visible difference between them, and nothing to say why an alarm is being generated. So the free version is completely useless, and I'm not inclined to pay extra just to enable features I don't need. Sorry, but it's a no-no from me!
Just what I’ve been looking for
I’ve been using this application for a number of weeks. I bought it following some disappearances from my desk of items. As I work on my own from home, the house is normally occupied with family and a carer for my elderly grandmother. I just needed an app that used the camera on my iMac as a security camera. The settings are easy to understand and I’ve not had any adverse issues so far. Very happy.
