I’ve really enjoyed using this. It’s great for those who travel to different cities to get lots of new hiring signs! I got £18 from walking around a city just today! I’ve cashed out so hopefully that’ll come through soon. I do seem to have an issue reviewing other people’s signs. It has just stopped on 11% and won’t move even when I do loads of reviews. Also it’s annoying when there are two vacancies in the same shop window but for different roles as it counts it as a duplicate but it’s not! Apart from these things this app is great and a good way of promoting big and small stores.
Reduced points - Don’t bother
When this app was first launched it was great, and the rewards were more or less fair: 110 points for a small business few had captured, 30 for a chain business. However, in the last months they have completely changed the algorithm and rewards system. I recently submitted three signs, all for small businesses, which had been submitted 50, 8 and 4 times respectively; all received 5 points, equivalent to 5 cents. I contacted them a number of times about the algorithm and they sent me stock responses about smaller businesses receiving more points, then insisted that everything was working fine. But, if that were the case, the three instances above would have received different amounts. Now I see that in the relaunched version of the app only one person can get points for a sign per day, and they want you to check a map of submitted signs before doing so. What a waste of time and data! My main problem here is that this could be an hourly wage job for someone, but they want to maximise listings by paying people only for a submitted sign, and not for time outside of that; they want to crowd-source, but now that the numbers of people using the app are too many, they don’t even want to pay for that. It’s really exploitative: if you are thinking of using it, I would carefully add up how much time and money you are spending to submit these signs and whether it amounts to a $15/hr minimum wage.
Makes money but needs improvement
EDIT 7/7/19. reduced to one star. Fed up with network error STILL being an issue. Even more fed up with being blamed for these issues (I.e. keep app open, refresh, stay near the advert) it’s all rubbish and you’re blaming your users for your rubbish tech set up. Not cool! Deleting this app because it’s got to the point of being utterly time wasting. I believe that many of these ads do actually get submitted but putting that there has been a network error gets the makers of this app out of having to cough up the money.
I’ve had decent pay outs from here however the app is SUPER buggy. Despite updates, CONSTANTLY getting ‘network error’ even though I have WiFi or 4g at the time of submitting. Means they’re delayed and no doubt fewer points can be given... less payout from the developers point of view.
EDIT: given all the updates this app seems to have, you’d think they’d be able to fix the stupid network issue problem. I took photos of six job adverts in a very quiet area yesterday, full signal and at some points connected to WiFi. NONE of them sent. If you want us to continue using your app and submitting jobs, at least buck up your ideas and make it possible for us!
