“With nearly zero perceptible trade-off in image quality, the benefits of JPEGmini Pro are both immediate and long-term, unquestionably changing my workflow and saving me a lot of money.”
Colin Peddle, PetaPixel
“This app is a game changer for myself and makes it so much easier to share with clients, friends, and social media without having to create multiple files for different purposes.”
Nick Pecori, FStoppers
"As far as ease of use, it is hard to make a simpler piece of software. When you are using the desktop software, you simply drag your JPEG files onto the program and then the JPEGmini Algorithm does its magic, compressing your images and saving you tons of space."
Anthony Thurston, Phoblographer
"JPEGmini is without a doubt the most amazing piece of software I’ve come across since I first used Photoshop 10 years ago. In my opinion, it is essential”
Mark Condon, Shotkit
“I found it hard to believe that the software would result in that much space savings, so I opened up the JPEG image on my computer and analyzed the file pixel by pixel. Going back and forth a number of times, I could not see ANY differences in quality”
Nasim Mansurov, Photography life

Astonishing results. Expensive but very effective.
I’ve managed to reduce my approx 400GB library of 85,000+ photos to just over 100GB. Incredibly helpful when I have to sync my images over wifi between three Mac’s and a NAS.
Checking the original (out-of-camera 24megapixel JPEG) files with those produced by JPEGmini, I cannot discern any appreciable difference, even zooming in to 11:1 (in Lightroom).
The initial compression (from 400GB to 100GB) took around 6 hours on a 4GHz iMac Retina (all images local on SSD), which is pretty good for over 85,000 photos.
I’ve also added JPEGmini to my Lightroom workflow so that any images uploaded to social sites (eg: flickr) are automatically optimised, which saves bandwidth space.
Thoroughly recommended application, although on the expensive side (it’s the same price as Lightroom stand-alone).
Great for Event Photography
When it comes to storage, I prefer to keep the Raw files. I never know when something might come back into use. That being said, I shoot a lot of events, which I am not as precious about. Jpeg mini is great for that. I compared the Hi Res Jpegs put out by lightroom with the ones reduced by JPMini, and I could not spot the difference. Other than the fact that they were all now over 50% lighter. That makes sending event photos to clients quicker and easier for both myself on the upload side, as well as for them on the download side. Great app!
