Good Idea but please expand from just London

Cambridge recently got TooGoodToGo but after trying it I really wish Karma was available here because competition is good and Karma tells you what you’re buying which I think reduces waste more than buying something you potentially don’t like. Please think about expanding from just London in the UK 🌿

Is this name valid ,

Been using it for a few days, disappointing app

The app says they show food sold in half the regular price because it’s surplus/unsold food from restaurants and cafes, but when I looked at the prices, it’s seems like they are still at full price. A slice of chocolate cake for £2? One Butter croissant for £1.50? Grapefruit Juice for £2.50? You can get better deals in Tesco. This app is clearly being paid by all this establishments to trick people into thinking they are buying half priced food and saving the environment, when the food is clearly still at full price. I knew this was too good to be true. Will delete this app in a few days if I don’t see better deals.

Developer Response ,

Hi there, and thanks for your review!
One of our most central policies is that every item that our partners upload must be discounted by at least 50%. If you ever discover any items that violate this, please contact us at support@karma.life so that we can rectify the situation as soon as possible -- we take this very seriously!
That being said, food waste isn't a problem that is limited to low-cost chains, even Michelin star restaurants struggle with this issue, and we at Karma are proud to work with partners across the price spectrum! That means that, as a user, you get gourmet grub for very reasonable prices, and cheap food for, well, 50% of cheap 😉
We sincerely hope you find some food to your liking soon!

Needs Work

Personally I think this app is a great idea.

However, by the looks of things this app is only great if you live in London or are around that area.... I believe money made from the app or freedom of money should be spent on things such as student ambassadors.. if you are looking to hire student ambassadors from Wales please do get in contact with myself or reply with a form of contact that I can get in touch with.

I’m a university student studying Business and management, and would love to provide/ support this cause.

Hello TRUEREVIEWS!
Thank you for your feedback! We are hoping to expand to areas outside London during this year.
We actually have an ambassador program where wonderful engaged people like yourself can contribute to creating the first zero food waste generation! We would love it if you dropped us an email on ambassador@karma.life so you can connect with the person responsible for that!
