Good but have sane defaults

You should have “sane defaults”.

I am reluctant to log ascents because it is tedious to have to select manually all three mandatory fields (tries, star, grade).

It should default to current consensus grade, NA/unset for stars, and NA/unset or flash for the tries. If I don’t know, care or have an opinion about a field, me arbitrarily choosing something is just adding noise to my and your data.

I feel like I am in no place yet to register a vote on some grades when I’m still getting into the board, but I have to, so I’m systematically breaking the data.

I like to roll through a collection of easier problems to warm up, but I also like to log them so I can always be doing new stuff. Make the tick entry a little faster with sane defaults so I can do this without breaking the flow of my sessions.

I think it will also improve the quality quantity of your star, tries, grades data too.

Great board system, app needs re-writing

The Kilter board system itself is great. Great fun to climb on, super useful as a training tool also. The biggest let down is the app, which is an awful user experience, and really needs a fundamental overhaul. It could do with a proper UX designer looking at the usability and workflow 🙏🏼 There are too many holes in the workflow to mention. Pro board system, amateur app.

You say to submit suggestions to your 'support' email but you know you don't respond to them in any case. So your standard response speaks volumes about your approach to this I'm afraid.

Moreover, my review above was actually self-explanatory had you cared to read it properly. I wasn't offering any suggestions for incremental improvements. I said the app needs a fundamental overhaul - that was your feedback.

Make an API available, and you'll see plenty of 'suggestions' about how this app could be done better.

The Kilterboard experience is let down by the current app associated with it unfortunately.

There is a very clear disconnect between Kilter's product/brand and how this app currently represents it.

Hopefully Kilter can make their own version in future.

Could be so good!

The app at the moment is okay at in its current state but there are so many options that could be added to make it incredible

-should be able to filter climbs to the local board (only problems set at that climbing wall on that board)

-should be able to add people (setters) on it and search for them a little easier

-setters should be able to edit a project after creating it in case they want to tweak something

-be able to see the ascensionists of a climb, maybe comments on climbs?

all these social aspects should be able to be toggled on/off in case people don’t want have them

All in all loving the board atm tho
