I'm Cantankerous ,

Was unable to run, but lightning fast developer support

Downloaded, watched intro carousel, getting engaged. Signed up with email (using strong password generated in 1Password). App crashed. Tried firing up again. App crashed. Repeat a few times. Tried restarting phone (12 Pro, iOS 14.6). App crashed. Emailed developer.

Being August, got OOO, but almost immediately after got first response, then a couple of days later they released a patched version (from experience Apple can take up to 10 days to review uploads before releasing them, so they must have jumped on this quickly) and this downloaded, installed and is working without issue.

No time to try the app for a few days but will up my 1 star on the basis of such responsive support alone, then adjust at the end of the week as I’ve had a real chance to play with it.

Thank you so much for your review! Fighting food waste isn't always easy but hopefully you've seen how important it is to us! Do feel free to contact us first on support@kitche.co for any ideas or feedback. We action all feedback! Cheers, the Kitche team

Awesome idea. Won’t work if someone else occasionally raids your fridge!

Awesome idea & the recipe suggestions are top notch. Whoever dreamt up this app needs a medal, a promotion, or both.

I would like to suggest that to really make this powerful for families/couples living together it would be great to link accounts as often more than one person raids the fridge / cupboards, certainly in lockdown it has made differences in schedules more prevalent. If I’m working from home it would be handy to be able to tick ingredients off as used when I make lunch, and my partner be able to see the updated stock list whenever she needs to. That way if things get used, they can be put on a ‘shopping list’ and either one of us can pick them up when we are close to the shop, eg coming home from work.

Hi Doughnutdodger! Your kind words are so appreciated! To tick of products you've eaten, you can Long Hold on any item in the At Home screen, and multi-delete products just like emails. We are definitely looking into a family account but for now you can always share log-in details. Happy to stay in touch on alex@kitche.co Alex (Co-Founder of Kitche)

Great support

Downloaded app after reading about it in waitrose literature . Just what I was looking for a way to track and reduce waste . Manually entered a small shop I had just done and will be trying a receipt scan on next shop . Process straightforward . Struggled a bit with seeing recipes but very speedy reply from support within hours of question and straightforward fix I had put too many products for my recipe search just one or two items worked a treat showing a list of recipes to use . Looking forward to exploring more options and tracking waste and its cost
