Your pollen pal is a must have a for those that suffer from hay fever and allergies. This app provides local pollen levels for grass, tree and weed pollen. These are colour coded for example, low meaning green, moderate being orange and high is coloured red. This is easy for users to understand the difference. The advantages of using the app are, the sources are updated in real time and provide good accuracy. Users can also turn on their notification to receive timely warning when pollen levels are high. Furthermore, pollen pal offer education resources to reduce pollen exposure and an advice on medication and interventions. There are also so many articles to read on pollen and they are very informative. I would recommend this app!
Simple and effective app to help you plan your day
This is a simple yet informative app. It provides the right balance of information and data without overloading you with numbers and analysis. It helps to manage your day alongside mainstream hayfever treatments so that you can check at a glance when the weed/grass/pollen count is at its highest. It provides specific data for your area so if you’re planning on spending time outside, you can gauge when it’s best to allow you to minimise the likelihood of hayfever symptoms ruining your day. There are links for additional information to assist in managing the symptoms and helpful, easy to read advice. Simple enough to use for young and old alike even for those with limited technical know how. Also has the weather for your region which is a useful addition.
Best app out there at the moment
Having tried many pollen apps out there over the years this is my favourite so far. Rather than just give a generic pollen is high/med/low today rating this app actually breaks it down into ppm readings for tree, weed and grass.
It also gives the option for further detail by providing a pollen analysis. For example for weeds in my location it splits it into Nettle, Ragweed, Chenopod and Mugwort. The readings are updated through out the day and it's really interesting to see when the pollen peaks and dips.
There is also the feature to look ahead 4 days at the forecast which is great for planning.
To summarise, easy to use app with a good user interface and easy to read information. Would highly recommend.
