Description

Beauty in simplicity.

Klipped is a minimalist scratch pad that is a buddy for all your other apps.

Write ideas down. Paste text and use as a clipboard; delete when you’re done. No files, no messy tabs - just a single window. Dictate ideas. Paste code snippets. Take notes.

Think of this an editable clipboard - like writing on the back of your hand. One window. Save as you type. Paste into or paste over.

Split screen mode makes this a super handy tool alongside another app - or use the background mode for a window-less clipboard. Options include coding mode and black background options.

Plain simple text.

Well designed simplicity

Just what I was looking for, a simple app for idea capture. Having split screen mode is very useful indeed. The ios version is equally good. If the two apps could work together over iCloud it would be great! In any case well worth the price.

Simplicity itself

This is just what I was looking for. From time to time I need to jot down a thought, or remind myself of a bit of text and have it readily available for anything between a few minutes or a few days. I don’t want to clutter up my notes, as it’s just temporary. I also don’t want to have to create a new file in a plain text program that then clutters up my documents folder or desktop and which I have to manually delete at a later date. Klipped is simplicity itself - a little box for some text, no documents, no distracting features. It’s a little like the postit stickies you used to get in the OSX Dashboard. It’s a really handy tool to have and nicely complements other plain text tools which can instead be used for longer form writing or notes that you want to hold onto and organise.

Does exactly what it says on the tin

If you want features, then this isn't likely to be the app for you. However, if you just want a scratchpad for capturing temporary notes or snippets of text during your day, then this might be exactly what you are looking for. The developer was also extremely responsive in replying to a feature request.
