KMPlayer 4+

This has everything you could ask for from a media player plus a nice and customisable UI. The customisation isn’t only cosmetic you can select which gestures are active, how many seconds skipping forward and backwards does, the amount of time the hud remains on screen after inactivity and much more. Honestly, I’ve tried so many media players that are good but this one’s great.

I said all this and still gave it a 4/5 because of a missing feature I wish they’d implement. The picture-in-picture mode only works within the app. When you try to use it outside of the app (depending on your settings) the video just stops. If they can fix this and allow for multitasking then, this app would be a step ahead of the rest, in my opinion.

KMPlayer is amazing in most ways, however there are some issues with the app.

First of all, the app tends to crash after i change a few settings, like the layout of the files or from dark mode to light mode.

Videos also are not playable without hardware acceleration, however on other video playing apps they are. I like KMPlayer so id rather stick with it knowing the issue will be fixed rather than switch.

When i pause the video, the audio continues to play for a short period of time which can get annoying after a while, this also happens when i lock my phone while watching a video or exit the app.

Also when i pause a video then unpause right away, the video freezes on a frame for a while, this also happens when i unpause a video after opening the app from the tabs.

I will be willing to change my rating to 5 stars if these issues are fixed.

Also it would be very helpful if you could implement Picture in Picture (PiP) support (also with support for subtitles in PiP) the app as this would greatly help me in situations where i need to multitask.

I believe if these changes were implemented to this app it would greatly increase the overall experience of the app for the majority if not all users.

Great app but I find that if I freeze a frame, when I go back to run the video it freezes and sometimes the sound starts but still no video. I have to note the frame position number, restart, and fast forward to where I was.

I carry on for a couple of minutes, have to freeze frame, and it freezes again.

I don’t want to leave KMPlayer as it is a solid tool, but unless this is fixed fast, I will be leaving
