Knitting Chart 4+

This app is probably the closest app to what I’m looking for to create my own pattern charts digitally which is great however, is there a way that the symbols on the legend can have new symbols added or be changed.
I’m a crocheter and it would be amazing to have crochet symbols put in or an import image to be put in so we can add our own ones in. Also if that is possible then it would also be handy if you could also remove symbols you don’t need for that particular project but have the option to add them back in if needs be and reorder them too. It would be very helpful and would also widen your target audience to crocheters 😊
P.s it’s such a good concept of an app and i am liking it so far and i love the idea that we can rename the items in the legend!

I am disappointed by the misleading upgrade information which suggested I could draw my own stitches. I paid for the upgrade and then it turns out I can’t do that. In trying to work out of it was possible I accidentally cropped my whole chart down to 4 squares and then was unable to undo it so my whole chart is lost. Very frustrating. The help section is not helpful at all and is basically a mini-tour. Had I been able to look up what all the buttons and symbols mean in the editing section then I wouldn’t have had to try them out and wouldn’t have ended up irreversibly cropping my chart away. There are a lot of parts of this app which are not very intuitive and actions which cannot be undone as far as I can see, such as selecting a group of boxes which then I was unable to deselect so had an erroneous box drawn around them. I’m not very impressed and would like a refund as the feature I wanted the upgrade for doesn’t in fact exist despite the suggestion that it does on the upgrade prompt.

Sorry to hear you don't like the app! It's stated nowhere that you can draw your own stitch symbols, so I don't understand what you mean by this?

Don’t get me wrong, some features on this app are really good, but the one I downloaded it for was the one where you take a photo and it converts it to a knitting chart for you. However, a very annoying feature of this app is that when you do do the picture to pattern converter, it completely changes all the colours! (For example, I was trying to make a chart of my dog, who is pale brown, but it changed him to 100 different shades of pink!) This is so frustrating because it means you have to change the colour of every single square, and for a lot of them you can’t even remember what the colour was supposed to be! Would be so much easier and make so much more sense if they just used the original colour. Not impressed. Also annoyed that you can only have two projects going at any one time if you just have the free version🙄.

Thanks for your review, if you select ‘Use Image Colors’ in the settings when converting an image the colours will not change.
If you don’t like the converted colours when using the ‘Use Knitting Chart Palette’ setting, you can swap them using the legend panel of your chart (tap the three dots on the right).
