Just the same puzzle again and again

Hats off for having a demo, I really appreciate being able to check if I enjoy before buying a game. However, I’m afraid it didn’t float my boat.

Interesting and different concept which was fun for about 10 mins, but very soon every puzzle was the same, which got dull. I liked the beams around the room puzzle - more of those would have been nice, but the others were all about lining up things and I could envisage more and more complex types of these until they became impossible so I decided not to buy. I wasn’t drawn in by either the graphics or the story, and I couldn’t see any point in the relics that I was collecting, or all the empty pots. Feels like they were just thrown in to add a little bit of diversion for what is, I felt, an underwhelming and under-developed game

But that’s the point of a demo, and I am thankful to the devs for allowing me to try it instead of just buying blind and being disappointed like in so many other cases. On the other hand, if the demo showed a glimpse of a range of levels instead of just the easy ones, then I might have found it more engaging and bought it - maybe an idea for the next demo, to show a range of complexity and types of puzzles throughout.

Developer Response ,

Hi mrspartacus, many thanks for trying out Krystopia: A Puzzle Journey and taking the time giving thorough feedback. It´s greatly appreciated to us as developers. Happy to hear that you liked the "beam around the room puzzle" though, it´s my favorite puzzle in chapter two as well. There will be another one of those in a later chapter as well and there are other types of puzzles being introduced in chapter 3 and 4 of the game.

Thanks also for the feedback regarding the demo and that´s a great suggestion. We´re currently working on the sequel to this game which is called Krystopia: Nova´s Journey which I´m confident to say will have a big variation of puzzles from the get go.

Again, thanks for giving us detailed feedback about the game.

Best regards,
Lenny at Team Antler Interactive

Good enough

It was a good game, but it never fully explains what had actually happened in the past. Although, maybe that’s the point.

Second thing is that although I want to replay it, I can’t find a way to reset the game. So you can only play it once through as far as I know.

Stuck

Liked the game but level 3 stays locked after completing level 2.
