Ratings and Reviews
Good App
This is probably the best reader for IOS I've seen at the moment, having some great features available, (although I have noticed a couple of niggly issues/bugs..).
If you happen to duplicate a book, you cannot delete just one copy. It seems to only allow you to delete both, meaning you have to add the book (again).
I've also noticed that if you create folders and drag and drop your books into them, that sometimes it moves a book over, but leaves it (still) visible in the unsorted books. Only exiting and restarting the app, then dragging the book into the folder again, clears it.
I do like the many options the app offers, and the large variety of file formats it will read and display, (including audiobooks).
(Though it does struggle if the audiobook is split into many mp3's). I'd describe it as the closest thing to Calibre (the pc ebook organiser), that you'll find on IOS.
Once the bugs are ironed out I'll be happy to give it the full five stars.
Edit:- removed another star, - the longer I use this, the more bugs I'm finding... it has more bugs than badgerwatch at the moment, and thats spoiling it for me. I've just discovered that the sort function, ( for folders ),is completely inoperative, - whatever you choose, it lists your folders alphabetically, and thats yer lot... Cant get the cloud functionality working either. Shame really as it is otherwise very innovative.
Great book/Comic reader
I’m giving this five stars because its truly a great reader but as a comic reader there is a big way that it could improve that is simple and included in other readers. When you select dual page view it needs to ignore the cover and start on the next two pages. If you don’t do this (and at present it doesnt) you end up misaligning the pages. What I mean to say is instead of enjoying a graphic that spreads across two pages you end up seeing one half of it and the following or indeed previous page. Not good.
However, dont get me wrong. Apart from this it is excellent and I’m staying with it.
Excellent app
I highly recommend this app as I’ve been actively using it for the last few years. My only request would be going forward for the artificial intelligence of the “text-to-speech” function to improve. I don’t mind paying a bit extra for a better AI alternative.
