Enjoyable

This app is really brilliant. I love the colour scheme, the audio and the vocabulary. I would like there to be more sentence examples like ‘나는 노래 한다’ because I can actually use these in sentences rather than just learning the words like ‘신문’ - Would be useful to know ‘I read the newspaper’ ❤️ Other than that, I love the app. I have paid for the subscription because it was like £2.98 a month for 12 months and tbh, that’s a brilliant deal, if anything it’s too cheap 😂 Really enjoying learning new words because it gets me thinking ‘How would I use this word in a sentence I already know how to structure.’ Especially with the syntax of Korean being so different and hard to grasp in comparison to English, it’s like trying to make a equation ahaha. I love it and will try 20/30 minutes every day. Brilliant app. Do I dare say it but... This app is WAYYYY better than duolingo 😶😂

Helpful, but not satisfied

I am a huge fan of BTS and lots of other kpop groups and I really wanted to learn Korean. I tried printing things off the internet and studying in a book but it was no use. Yes I could read, and yes I could write. But that was after months of practice. I decided to download an app to help me with my learning. I didn’t think that I would come this far with drops though. It is so much fun and a free five minutes a day is a bit of time I guess to review and memorise new words. There are so many activities to do with 30 languages to choose from! I use this to learn French and Turkish also. It is very fun and the voice pronunciation is extremely accurate. You can download now like me and enjoy. What I would change though, is a bit more time on the app that is free please, and maybe separate times for each language. For example, I spend 5 minutes on learning Korean, but then when I want to learn French, my five minutes is up. I would love it if there was 10 minutes because it is a bit longer, and also to have 10 minutes available for each language. I hope the developers of this app is reading this, so they can make some changes. Thank you for reading my very long review.

Trying loads of languages

This app is great to learn words in other languages. It really helps and challenges you. I’ve already tried it in Sanish, Tagalog and now Korean.

As I’m learning a language with characters rather than western alphabet I’m trying hard to read each character. The only issue with Drops is they have the phonetics in western characters. As this helps in the beginning, towards the end I feel like I’m not looking at the Hangul but reading the western characters instead. This is also an issue when you have to spell out a word. I wish I could spell it on Hangul. If there was an option to spell out all the words in Hangul this would be more ideal than spelling out with western characters.

Other than that, it’s really good.
