Ratings and Reviews
Very average
People seem to confuse this app with the lights-the app is used by lots of lights it seems. Why people think an app developer will fix their lights who knows.
Also there is a huge scam on using images from a product called Twinkly that allows sequencing and cool patterns when the lights sold are just single colour. Again not this app’s fault but buyer beware.
Nonetheless it’s a poor app.
* Good things
It does allow me to configure my lights (note that you can buy 20m of colour changing fairy lights for about £15 on eBay or about 7+delivery from AliExpress so don’t be tricked by dropshippers) and they look pretty cool.
*Bad things
The support is non existent and the videos don’t work, neither does the forum (or the app support button in the App Store!).
I can get it to configure the lights ok but the timer just doesn’t work - however that may be the lights not the app as the lights do flash when I save the timer schedule
It’s completely unintuitive, it could only be less easy if it was in Chinese (but marginally). I still have no idea why 99% of the app is there.
Conclusion - bearable given the price of the lights and the app is less than most lights
Far better if you can to get WiFi controlled lights rather than BLE ones (assuming you have WiFi reception) and use Magic Home - which is far from perfect but is more reliable (and because of WiFi are Alexa controlled too, meaning the app is not needed!)
Wont turn back on after two week holiday leave
Went on a two week trip and came back to it not working. Didn’t leave any house sitters so what happened? Figured it simply just disconnected completely since i was so far away for so long so i tried just about everything i knew to do. Uninstalling and reinstalling, etc. if anyone has experienced something similar and have figured out what’s wrong; please help me out. It’s been unable to work for almost a month now and it hasn’t even been a year since i got it. (Claims it works for 5 years or so I remember)
Hard Work!
I have them working on my iPhone 6s but they are not as good as expected. The app will only connect to my phone, even if I disconnect it and try another phone or iPad, none of them connect. Poor. So if I’m out my wife can’t control the lights at all. Absolute joke of an app but the lights are good. They work to music but I couldn’t download any to the app. Then all my songs appeared even though I didn’t download them. I only wanted Xmas songs but can’t delete any of the others!
Get it sorted!
