Game changer

I am a 55-year-old man living in England, after losing a friend who was 50 years old to bowel cancer I contacted the NHS and asked for a test, I was told that screening didn’t start till the age of 56 years old in England or 50 if you live in Scotland. Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK it is easily detectable and very treatable. This was the first time I have used this company for screening and the whole process was incredibly slick and professional. I would have no hesitation in recommending LetsGetChecked from the experience I had.

Extraordinarily Expensive. Not evidence based.

So, a PSA test + Thyroid + testosterone?
Total cost~ £200

This is a service for people with more money than sense, in which case, good luck.

For everyone else- I strongly suggest a discussion with your GP rather than getting these random tests.

Some examples:

PSA: a negative result can be somewhat reassuring in respect to a prostate cancer diagnosis, but only in the context of discussion with a GP. A positive result is non-specific (could be due to lots of things) but It creates a lot of worry, possibly a painful biopsy etc.

Thyroid function? If you are already treated for underactive thyroid then you should be having regular blood tests anyway. If you have symptoms of tiredness etc then you should speak to a doctor and not arrange this test. Tiredness could be an underactive thyroid, but also could be low b12, anaemia, stress, lung cancer, leukaemia, insomnia, Addisons disease, coeliac, obstructive sleep apnea, kidney or liver disease, low vitamin D or Folic acid, and many other things.

Bowel cancer? If you’re thinking along these routes then speak to a doctor and get a FIT test. It is far more accurate.

Random testing without the context provided by an experienced GP is at best of little use and at worst dangerous.

Peace of mind made easy

I often get tests just to keep on top of my health concerns. Ranging for bowel to fertility, the whole process of very streamlined, great instructions and prepaid postage and packaging. The results are ready in a few days and I often get a call from the nurse to go through results and discuss any further steps I might be advised to take (especially where fertility is concerned). I give the 100% satisfaction from this customer. I will continue to be a customer for the long term.
