LG Soundbar 4+

As many others have mentioned, my GX sound bar is not recognised in the app. I put the sound bar to BT and my phone can connect to the sound bar, I then go back to the app as requested and it just keeps saying “no sound bar to connect”
After paying £2300 for a TV and £1000 for a sound bar, the very least I expect is an LG Sound bar app that recognises my LG sound bar.
The generic response that LG keep putting on here is not cutting it really. Either fix it or bring the old app back which I believed worked fine. My sound bar does not have a wifi button or a google
logo and being honest I don’t want to connect through google… I use Apple OIS. I have 2 other much cheaper Samsung items that work fine and integrate with their apps. I now wish I had taken my money to them… which I will be in the very near future.

I have the SN11 RG sound bar, and have been using it successfully for 2 years. Upon moving furniture in the room around, I decided to rerun AI calibration to get the sound at its best.
At this point I was forced to “upgrade” from the old app to this one. The old app wasn’t great, so this might improve things.
Laborious speaker install, involving Google home that failed multiple times before it eventually worked.
However, now whenever I try and run the AI calibration I am informed the subwoofer isn’t connected. This is despite the sub going through the connection routine if it’s powered off, then confirming a connection via its LED lights.
Just on with help desk and the advice is to move everything to another room to confirm the problem persists. Really LG.
It seems ridiculous that a premium product, just 2 years old and apparently compatible is this hard to get working. Now going to spend the evening shifting everything to a different room.
Love the OLED tv, used to love the sound bar. Hate the apps with a passion.

Read the online PDF first, discovered how to connect wifi, there is a wifi button symbol on the top of the sound bar, press it and the app discovers your model number. It starts a countdown from about 120 seconds, and by 95 seconds it’s all connected and now automatically doing an update. Apple AirPlay is now available, and by logging into Alexa in this app, it can now be added to a speaker play group. My tv is a LG C1 with the Alexa connection established too. All perfectly working with no issues.
