Life Lapse: Stop Motion Maker 4+

This is one of the best apps I have used EVER!!! I have recently gotten into making animations for people and it takes a lot of time. I download a video and get all the clips and colour them in by hand which can take a few days. I then started looking for apps I could use to put them together so I downloaded google photos and I wasn’t very happy I had over 300 clips and they would only let 50 so I downloaded some more apps and they were all the same. I came across this app and downloaded it, it said you needed to pro to get something’s and I’m only 12 so I couldn’t get them but then I read that you could import photos and I was so happy!!! I now have a big account on tiktok and it’s all because of this app :) if you see this rating I definitely recommend getting this app 😊😊❤️

I’m not sure I’ve used an app that so easily, accessibly, understandably and reliably performed. I tried it first to present some “old” family toys to the now 30+ somethings (charity shop/keep). 500 frames, some hours of fun and the random selection of cinematic 6 later it was a great success. This last weekend, the morning after a little (covid careful) civil partnership ceremony and lunch, I gathered together people’s photos, added a bit of text to an intro image, a mock cinema studio end frame and a suitable soundtrack and delighted the participants. It’s a lovely, accessible and reliable tool to use. Thanks

TLDR: have a redundancy plan of using this app. We have been taking short videos since my wife discovered she was pregnant. We are at week 15 now and we were so pleased to see the changes week by week. Today while generating a preview of the film in it’s entirety, the app crashed. Upon restarting, the entire project was gone. All videos containing 10 weeks of our journey is just gone. This is awful. Do yourself a favor and have a backup plan. Save your videos and don’t rely solely on this app. For the price there ought to be a cloud save feature but I suppose they were too busy selling an instglam lighting kit to invest in that. Luckily, I’ve been using my DSLR kit to make my own film and have that to fall back on. Not everyone will and someone my find they’ve trusted this app to document their journey only to see it lost. It’s a good app when it works. But this kind of loss is too much to recommend it.
