Fantastic basic features for free that allow us as parents to see that our teens are at school or where they should be when they are out at weekends. Our son surpassingly doesn't mind having the app as it means he is able to see where his father is and if near by can ask for a lift rather than walking or catching the bus home. Our daughter who is older also doesn’t mind having the app as she likes being able to see that we have arrived at our destination safely when we are going away on holidays. It also came in extremely handy when my husband had miss placed his phone and couldn't be sure if he had left it at his last customers house. A quick look on the app showed that he had indeed left his mobile at his last call out of the day which saved a lot of time as he couldn't be sure if he had taken it into our house or maybe left it in his l messy works van. All in all we tend to only use the app for a bit of extra reassurance rather than for spying on each other which is nice to know that our kids are also comfortable with having the app.

I suggested the app to my parents when I was 15 in hopes that they would be assured enough in my safety while out to extend my curfew. I’ve had Life360 for quite a while now, both with my family and my close friends (particularly useful on nights out lest we get separated). My parents were never overly controlling so the app was never abused in our case. If I leave the house when my Mom is working, she gets a notification and gets another when I return back home. I think she’s much more confident and assured with my little brother and I’d safety now. If I need to get picked up my Mom and I both can see how long it takes for her to arrive to my location by car and she can access directions to me via the app. I’ve never had to use this feature but there is a “bubble” for when you want a little more privacy on where your exact location is. You can also temporarily turn off your location. Honestly, I have no complaints at all about Life360. My whole family uses it and it’s definitely been advantageous for all members of my household.

Initially I was just annoyed about them selling everyone’s data to third parties, removing third party api access, website access and then the massive 50% price increase that they are literally bragging about making massive profits on stock exchange. Then I read even more bad news in trustpilot. Its literally shocking.I really hope this goes down in flames when people come to their senses.So it’s Feb 2024: 50% price increase. Cancelled subscription. No thanks. Also I see Life360 is still misusing customer data and selling to 3rd parties. It won’t be hard for a more reputable company to come along and fix this problem. Every family and good friends should use this app. It has literally rescued us on multiple occasions from being lost and in danger in a foreign country, lost phones, child safety when left in the care of others and making sure friend and family get home safely. One request!!! I need 35 days history not 30 as months have 31 days and then a few extra days spare so you have time to tally up distances traveled for work.
