I’ve been trying to find a gamified language learner for ages. I used to use Mindsnacks and loved it - making language learning super fun and not a chore is an amazing way for anyone to learn and I certainly got better. But, they took it off the AppStore!!! Every now and then I look at the apps around to see if there is anything that comes close. There wasn’t - until now!

I haven’t been playing very long but it’s awesome. I want to keep playing more and at the same time I’m learning. It’s fun, well
made, addictive and a useful tool. I love it, thanks so much to the development team - hopefully this review brings you some extra support so you can keep up the good work!

PS. I’m currently on the lower levels, so it doesn’t cost much energy to play, but if the free version is going to be fun and helpful to people then I think energy needs to slowly build over the course of the day and not just reset - one lesson a day might not be enough!

Great app, but only 12 languages :C

I used this app while I was taking German lessons in school a few years ago. It was very helpful, and really incentivised my learning- I’d literally spend hours on the app doing my German lessons to help me learn the language outside of school and to give me a better grasp of the language from other sources.
I still love the app, but don’t take German lessons anymore. I am currently trying to learn Polish (I am half Polish, but wasn’t brought up with the language) and have been for almost two years on a certain bird based learning app which I do find to be a bit of a drag, but I am committed to the streak, and that’s why I continue on said app. I would LOVE to see more languages, selfishly with Polish included, brought onto the app in the future, as currently the selection is still very slim. From what I remember from using the app, there was nothing else to complain about- it has grown so much in the last couple of years which is amazing to see! But as I said, I do really wish there were more languages available on it.

Hey, thanks for the feedback! We're thrilled Lingo Legend has been such an enormous help for you and your German, so much so that you want it for every language you learn. That's awesome :) We're right there with you – there are many languages we don't yet cover that we plan to add eventually. Whenever we add a new language, we take the time to handcraft the curriculum and incorporate what makes each language unique. That requires a lot of time and energy, which for a small indie team can be tricky. But all that is to say that we plan to add many more languages in the future, and we appreciate your patience in the meantime! Pretty neat

I didn't know what to expect going in, i’ve been trying to learn Japanese for a while now but my ADHD is too prone to getting sidetracked. I saw this and gave it a download and was pleasantly surprised that it was able to grip my attention in a way that kept me focused, motivated and remembering the things i learned!

I must say that the premium makes life a lot easier on the game due to its limited energy restriction, so i bought a month of it and i’ll see where im at once the month is up. Maybe if im still deep into it, i’ll purchase a longer subscription.
