We’ve played plenty of grid-based puzzlers, but there’s just something about Link Twin that feels right. It might be the gorgeous, minimal art direction. Or maybe it's the wonderfully subtle animation or the excellent use of Force Touch. Whatever it is, we can’t stop swiping our way through the bite-sized challenges. Helping a duo reach different destinations is tough—but totally rewarding.
Best Monument Valley Surrogate I've Found
Really nice game. Very clearly takes a lot of its styling and atmosphere from Monument Valley but it does it well. Like MV the puzzles are elegantly simple while also increasingly difficult. I just wish the "Need help" banner didn't keep popping up it spoils the clean UI and after it's come up once you know what the lightbulb does!
Looks like MV, but there the similarity ends
This is more like Warp Shift than MV, and is essentially a block moving game, where you have to move two figures at the same time and manoeuvre them into the correct position to complete the level. As the levels progress the figures need more manoeuvring, but that's about it. It has none of the innovation and optical delight of MV, nor is there any kind of real narrative.
It's quite pleasant visually, otherwise it's a tired old variant on the same old theme.
