HOH excellent app.
I have tested a number of speech to text apps over quite a long time. One after another I have discarded them for being not very good. Then I tested live transcribe on a 7 day trial. It was my special birthday and because of the lockdown the family were not allowed to visit. My husband arranged a video call and opened the app and with a little adjustment of the volume, I was delighted to discover that I could read and understand everything that was said by the everyone on the call. What a surprise birthday treat to be able to take part in a video chat instead of my husband having to repeat back parts of the conversation afterwards.
As face coverings are necessary in shops and stores now it becomes impossible to lipread people, the app is an invaluable aid and is always with me on my phone.
This is the best HOH app I have used.

Bit disappointed
The app is a little disappointing, I thought the option to choose the first and second language was so you could translate the speech either way. I work in A&E and to get a translator in due to covid 19 Is extremely difficult.
It would be great if I could speak English and see the text I spoke appear, as it does now, but then see it translate into which ever language I would like to speak in, so my patient can read it and I can check for spelling or incorrect words being sent. It would be good if the flip button was to change the language so the other person could speak and see the words they spoke ( in their mother tongue) and see it change into English or which ever language they wanted to speak in so they can communicate easily and more clearly. I think not having this as an option for the price your asking for is ridiculous and over-rated. Once you can make the app complete the above issue I have raised, I would definitely purchase this app. But until then, sorry this app is very expensive and not worth the money. Find another app!
Fabulous
This has been a life saver for us, my husband lost his hearing over night and this has helped him enormously.
I have encouraged everyone I know to use it and even though we use sign as well this is brilliant in the car, at doctors and restaurants.
If you are deaf most of society ignores you, there is little or no support in shops, restaurants or medical facilities, we could not do without you and can only thank you xxx
