Nice!
Great having live cloud detail shown on the Earth and looks good when rotating in screensaver mode.
But it could be better.
Would like option for Earth to rotate in desktop mode as well (like Earth 3D does so well).
Interactive mode for clicking and rotate-dragging to explore points on globe with a push of the 'Esc' button to quickly exit.
Option to show the desktop that is currently set in OS X Sytem Settings as the background/backdrop to Living Earth, BUT with a shadow effect around the Earth globe as to provide a separate suspended effect as to seperate the two without a confusing boarder. If done right this could look cool.
It's not integrated into the OS X system screensaver (this is no big deal really and is easily got round).
Graphics on nightime side of globe don't look very detailed, it's nothing to do with cloud. I think the city lighting areas are not convincing (single shade light pixels? look a bit ropey)
Still a good App at only version 1.01 therefore can only get better with each update.
The graphics are amazing. UPDATE JANUARY 2017.
The graphics of this app are superb and the screen saver is a nice bonus. That said, the wallpaper takes an age to open with a small notice that says rendering. My Mac perfoms falwlesy on all other apps and see no way of improving the time lag from initial start up to wallpaer display. I just have to sit and wait for it to open which is becoming an annoyance. If it opened faster it would most definately be worth a full 5 star rating.
I also use the same app on my iPad Pro, iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6 S Plus with no problems.
THIS APP HAS STOPPED LAUNCHING FROM START UP.
No longer starts on login BIG SUR
Like the app but it no longer auto starts on desktop login after a shut down on Big Sur. Which is slightly frustrating
