Description
Welcome to Looks Like Rain! This weather app lets you look at the hourly forecasts for the next 10 days at a glance.
Will Tuesday be rainy all day, or just in the evening? Will the sun peak out this weekend? Is that snow coming overnight or in the afternoon? With Looks Like Rain, your next week in weather is easy to see.
It also has a quick view of the next few hours, and next-hour precipitation information (if available in your region). Tap on a day to see detailed charts for weather conditions, precipitation, and wind.
The basic functionality is free. If you find it useful, a subscription adds the following functionality:
- a handy popup from the menu bar
- desktop/notification centre widgets
- save multiple favourite locations
The subscription costs US$10/yearly or US$2/monthly (adjusted to your currency), which helps pay for the weather data service (as well as supporting the developer!)
Available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Your subscription supports all your devices, and your favourite locations are synced between your devices using iCloud.

Fantastic weather app
I love the simplicity of the information layout. I can see all the information I need about the day at a glance!
Could be good..
Nice visualisation of precipitation and cloudiness but other important info is missing altogether or deprioritised too much.
Wind speed is only available in km/h with no way of changing the units. And on the timeline display the wind arrows only show direction, nothing else, you have to touch the arrow to see mean speed and gust speed…
It feels like work in progress and may be worth subscribing to in future if the app is developed. - it could be good if other wx info was colour coded and displayed in the same way eg, wind strength, aqi, humidity and info like tides included but for £10 a year subscription you would expect a bit more I think,,,,
Accurate with great UI
Easy to use with high level information shown clearly in a simple, fresh UI. Details are a click away. It’s as accurate as the big players sometimes more so. Good value for what it does and how it does it. It’s replaced all my other weather apps.
