Description
The new M-PESA App makes it easier to transact on M-PESA.
The new app enables you to view your M-PESA balance in the home screen, Favorites lets you save your most frequently used features so that they're just a click away. Frequently used contacts and till numbers are automatically displayed so that you can quickly find them to send money or make payments.
· Biometrics
Login to the myM-PESA app conveniently and authenticate payments by scanning your fingerprint or face ID.
· Send money easily
Send money by scanning a QR code, searching your phonebook or selecting from your frequent M-PESA contacts. You can also add contacts to your favorites list so you don't have to search every time.
· Pay Bills
Pay your bills easier by selecting from the popular M-PESA bills, scanning a QR code or by selecting from one of your favorite or frequent bills
· Buy Goods and services
Pay for your goods and services by manually inserting the till number, scanning a QR code or by selecting one of your favorite and frequent used tills.
· Pay to Phone Number
This is a new payment service that allows customers to pay small businesses for their goods and services
· Withdraw
Withdraw money from your M-PESA at any agent or at selected bank ATMs

Great app
I love the M-PESA app because it keeps track of all payments. Also I am able to document what the payment is for so I have good records. I can generate a receipt and share online. And I have access to my contacts so it’s easy to use.
Send reversal flawed -Beware - Cautionary tale
In paying a private seller for an item with a similar name I sent to the wrong number. Saw my mistake and in ten minutes I asked for a reversal. Unfortunately the person I sent to knowing the money way not theirs withdrew the money very quickly. Safari come could not get the money back and said that I should report to the Police. This should not be a Police matter. Safaricom will place can place a hold on an account or cancel an M-PESA account if a customer is abusing their account and breaking terms and conditions. They should not be relying on the Police to do their job for them. Their system makes it to easy for other people to manipulate as there are no real consequences of a person receives money not meant for them and they keep it. Corporations should not use public services as their enforcement tools when they have within their power to manage their own systems. Beware that if you use this app to send money and one digit is off you are at risk of loosing your money. You’ve been warned.
Only latest transaction shows each time
This app is not effective for showing balance or searching payments. It only displays the last transaction. Calls to safaricom have led to an assessment that this is a known fault, for which nothing has been done.
It means I can only view by generating statements. It’s more complex is trying to see multiple payments. And if you make more than one payment in a day then you can only see the last one.
Really rubbish.
