Just opened the latest version and it’s a massive improvement for English speaking users. The interface is more intuitive and has English language capability. Interestingly ÇA had an English version a couple of years ago but stopped supporting it.
Whilst I’m a believer in integrating in France, I’m not a native French language speaker. Hence this is much safer, if only the warning messages were in English but that’s not the apps fault I guess. I will be recommending this app (and hence ÇA to my friends, which is what it’s all about I guess) well done to ÇA for caring about their customers and not standing on a French political barrel, now if we can only get the Brits to do the same…. 🙄

The look and layout are completely changed from this app used to be. Unfortunately this change is not as helpful as I hoped, and it is disappointing. It is helpful to add English as a supporting language. However, many useful functions the the old version had are removed. If it is due to reduce localising effort, I would prefer not have it localized, in exchange of the functions back. For example, to categories the type of spending in each the spending entry; to view the revenue and outgoing trend report; to edit the spending entry note in order to better track; to see both current account and savings account in the same page, rather than swipe to another page. I am very surprised that some of those functions are removed, as more and more online banks allows users to do so in their apps. I would suggest to reconsider what users need when banking solely online or over the phone/email.

I like this app very much, it gives me more options than other banking apps that I have used, such as setting up budgets and being able to allocate certain entries to those budgets and actually being able to schedule a meeting with your bank advisor through the app and being able to add that meeting directly to your calendar. I also like the fact that you can easily print out all your statements going back years.

The one thing that irritates me immensely, and I’m sure can be easily rectified, is the section called ‘libellé complémentaire’. There should be a delete button in this field because I always make a detailed note of what the amount pertains to and every time, I have to delete, letter by letter, the basic information that is pre-filled for me. Either provide a delete button for app users or do not write anything in that field so we can fill it in ourselves.

It would also be nice if this app was available in English. I used to use the HSBC app and this was available in both languages.

Aside from those two niggles, I think this is a very good app and I can highly recommend it.
