Description

Mahjong solitaire is a free mahjong game based on a classic Chinese game.(also known as Shanghai Mahjong, Taipei Mahjong, Kyodai, Mahjong Trails, or Shanghai mahjongg)

The goal is to remove all tiles from the board. You may remove only paired free tiles. The tile is free when there are no tiles either to the left or to the right from it.
If you cannot find any pairs you may shuffle the tiles at any times, but you will get a time penalty.

Nice simple - add free

Try it. This is a lovely simple solitaire version of Mahjong. The tiles are reasonably ok to see; it zooms in as you delete periphery tiles.
It plays a cute East Asian tune over and over; you can choose to switch this off, and the tile select sound too. You can also choose randomised layouts and if you want highlighted tiles that are prominent. Advanced options allow change of tile appearance; Ivory, wood, gold. Also several backgrounds.
In game there is a timer; shuffle option and hint.

Well worth trying.

I play the Shanghai game too. That also is simple; has additional options and game mode though.

Delightful

Nice music and effects, ever changing patterns, interesting designs for the tiles. Would now like to know more about the history of the characters and what they mean !
