I have paid for Navionics Europe. Now Navionics has update to Boats the old app wont work, you cant view any details despite the fact I've already paid for it. Navionics is insisting l pay again for the latest app.
What a complete con, shame on you navionics.
Wont ever be using or buying another navionics product.
And next time my onboard chart plotter charts need updating, guess what ? I wont be updating with navionics if this is the way you treat customers.
Fortunately you have competition and they now have my money, NOT you.

We are sorry to hear your disappointment. Based on customer feedback, we've consolidated our former Apps into the single title Boating Marine&Lakes which allows you to use the same subscription on both iPhone and iPad. There is no additional purchase required; once the migration into the universal Boating App Marine & Lakes version 13.3 has been performed, all of your data, previously purchased regions, Apps and current subscriptions will be transferred for free into the new App.
Once the migration into the new Boating App has been performed, all maps and subscriptions of your former App will be available into this new one only. If you have a current subscription/region/App and it did not transfer over to the new App, as a first step, tap on “free features” into the new Boating App to enter the App and make sure you have entered the same Navionics Account on your former Apps and into the new Boating App as well (Menu > Me > Account) to be recognized as same user. Then try to restore your previous purchases by following this procedure: https://tinyurl.com/y7e8z9mp. Uk & Europe
I’m sure this App said Uk & Europe charts before I bought the app, but I can’t get the UK charts!
I didn’t mind paying the extra for the Uk & Europe than the Uk & Holland chart or I would’ve just bought the Uk one. How can I change over to the Uk?

Dear Customer, in the Europe App description you can see that UK is not included. If you do not need Europe region, we suggest you ask Apple for a refund, see here: https://tinyurl.com/h33qqbh as we do not handle the E-commerce of our Apps (Apple handles it). You can then download our new App for Apple devices, Boating marine & lakes, from the App Store/iTunes Store of your iPhone/iPad. The App has a free trial of 2 weeks. At the end of the trial you can purchase your desired coverage from within the App itself, by going to the App Menu-Charts&Upgrades-Subscribe Now. Here you will find all available regions and their different prices. Thank you!
OK App - horrible Company and questionable honesty
I have used their apps for years. And they work - BUT - they come back to a purchase made and change the agreement - one sided. And they keep doing that - requiring more money for the purchase you made to keep working and latest they disable the App unless you accept their new terms.
To Navionics I say: NO! I do not accept the terms, but have had to click “accept” or my nav-app stopped working.
To everybody else I say: look elsewhere before you buy!

You have decided to try and maximise your revenues from those people who allready purchased your app and areas. You have done so by forcing a subscription system onto your costumers. To do so you have used every available dirty trick, including changing terms on allready made purchases, forcing new terms on IOS updates, removing functionality to suddenly only be included upon subscription and using annoyance methods to try to lure and force customers into subscription.
I have purchased a lot of areas from you early on. And the App generally works fine and charts are generally good. Only your lack of decent business policies makes me suggest that people think twice before they buy your App. There are other possibilities with a more costumer friendly approach from honest companies.
And your claim that maps still are on the Ipad or phone after subscription stops is untrue - downloaded maps have been lost on several of the IOS updates.
It’s a general problem that “updates” by many companies are regarded as “a license to steal” from the customers - I understand and appreciate a recurring revenue. But Navionics are using the changes in a dishonest way.

With an expired Navionics+ subscription, charts previously downloaded remain on the app along with all basic features.
