Bridging the gap between theory and the bridge, this app transforms your device into a fully functional radar station. Whether you are refreshing your knowledge of Relative Motion vs. True Motion or practicing the mechanics of target tracking, this simulator offers a realistic "Green Screen" experience powered by Metal graphics for an authentic sweep and decay effect.

- Realistic Radar Physics: Experience authentic sweep visuals with adjustable Gain, Sea Clutter, and Rain Clutter controls to simulate varying environmental conditions.
- Full ARPA Functionality: Acquire and track targets to calculate CPA (Closest Point of Approach) and TCPA. Visualize risks with dangerous target alarms.
- Vector Modes: Switch between True and Relative Vectors to visualize target aspect and movement. Adjust vector length (minutes) to predict future positions.
- Standard Navigation Tools: Utilize dual Variable Range Markers (VRM) and Electronic Bearing Lines (EBL) to determine range and bearing with precision.
- Display Modes: Toggle between Head Up, North Up, and Course Up orientation. Switch the display between Relative Motion (RMTT) and True Motion to understand traffic flow.
Scenario Library: Test your COLREGs knowledge with pre-built scenarios including:
- Crossing Situations (Stand-on and Give-way)
- Overtaking and Being Overtaken
- Head-on encounters
- Busy waters with mixed traffic types
- Coastal navigation with land masking
"True View" Overlay: Toggle the underlying map view to compare the radar return against the "ground truth" of the scenario.
AIS Integration: Simulated AIS overlays provide target names, types, and kinematic data (COG/SOG) alongside raw radar echoes.
Practice Scenarios: The app includes a suite of scenarios designed to test specific competencies. From simple open-water encounters to complex multi-vessel situations involving fishing vessels, cargo ships, and high-speed craft, you can practice your decision-making without the risk.
Own-ship Control: Take command of your vessel. Adjust your Heading and Speed to execute collision avoidance manoeuvres and observe the resulting change in Relative Motion on the scope.
