Marked provides document navigation and statistics, proofreading tools, multiple export formats, and much more. Marked comes with 9 preview styles built in (including GitHub), and you can add unlimited custom styles of your own.
MultiMarkdown processing is provided for writers, complete with tables, footnotes, file transcludes, and other MultiMarkdown-specific features.
GitHub users will appreciate Marked's built in GitHub Flavored Markdown processor, capable of handling fenced code blocks, line break preservation and automatic hyperlinking.
Marked is powerful enough to allow custom processors (shell scripts) before and/or instead of the built in processors, allowing custom Markdown processing and use of non-Markdown text processors.
Marked works with Scrivener, Ulysses, MarsEdit, Highland 2, iThoughtsX, MindNode, and other third-party apps, allowing you to use Markdown and see beautiful previews just about anywhere.

Marked is indispensible for my Markdown work
A publisher and programmer
This is a typical Brett Terpstra work, through and through: Extremely well thought out, super-responsive, and it gets updated regularly to get better and better. If you need this kind of tool, then this is an excellent choice. If you like it, do check out his various super-clever scripts on his website, too.Brett is not a regular programmer, he is a software “artist”.
Brilliantly configurable

I write in Obsidian using markdown. The challenge has always been to transfer my writing into the format and style that is required for a particular puropse. Marked 2 does it elegantly... offering built-in and customisable formats so I can meet every need. It's saved me a Ulysses subscription, so quickly paid for itself.
A brilliant way of reviewing output

I write almost all my documents in Markdown. I can see what the output is like, and whether I've made any mistakes with syntax, in Marked 2. It's great for generating html for blog posts. There's also the ability to export to word processors and PDF. Excellent app.
Gold Standard

Brett has been chiselling away at Marked for some time and really delivered with Marked 2. Using Markdown makes writing for the web a pleasure, watching the results render within this app feels to me to be the icing on the cake. For me the extended capabilities of Marked 2 reenforce its position as a 'Markdown powertool'. It’s a pleasure to press the ‘buy’ button to give back a little to a guy who gives so much to the community for free.
