What’s New

Version 1.20.9

With this update, a feature that has been requested by many users over many years now: a combined shopping list!

You can now switch the shopping list to combine duplicate ingredients for different dishes under a single entry. Shopping for some egg mayo sandwiches today and a French omelette tomorrow? You no longer need to check off eggs multiple times when you just bought a single box.

This feature has taken a long time to implement because we have experimented with many different approaches. It's not easy to make a complicated combination of different amounts and different units (for example, 100ml of milk plus 3tsp of milk) easy to read, while still allowing you to check off only parts of the combined ingredients. But we think we have found something that works well.

Please let us know what you think!

Great app

It is a great app to keep all your recipes together and to do meal planning. I have been using it for a while and I love it.
The only thing I would suggest to the developers is to be able to add your own category when saving recipes. For example I have a baby and a toddler and I would love to have their recipes in another category so it would be easier to find what I want. Or to be able to add own category such as “soups” , “fish” and so forth.

Slight fault

I’ve been searching for an app that allows me to plan my own meals in preparation for a detox programme, and this app seemed to fit the bill. I like that you can add a link to recipes you find online and add the ingredients and quantities. My only fault with the app (and I’ll try to describe this as best as I can) is the sensitivity causing the adding of a dish to be cancelled. I started the process of adding a dish - name, link, ingredients and quantities - using my iPhone. I wanted to scroll down to see the top of the screen but this instead cancelled the input, which meant I had to enter everything again. This happened twice. I was not happy! Learnt now that I have to name a dish, save it, and then go back to entering the ingredients. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this or I’m a just impatient and trying to enter the details too quickly. Other than that, a good app.

Hi there, thanks for the review, and sorry about the issue you’ve experienced. We have a fix already in place and will be publishing the update in the next day or two!

Happy so far

I’ve looked at several of these apps for something that would allow me to plan my family’s meals weeks in advance without having to pay more for extra weeks. This app is great. It’s simple and easy to use, and I have the option of linking it to my partner’s phone.

The one suggestion I would make would be for there to be a way to create repeat entries (eg. every Monday to have the same dinner, every Sunday the same breakfast) without having to enter them individually. With toddlers, they like the structure of having certain meals on certain days, so this would be a feature that would come in handy.
