Great App but

A great app and the convenience of it being in the App store is worth the small sum charged, however, It is a pity the appstore version is not updated when the free version is! Currently appstore is 0.7.60 yet the FREE version is 0.7.62

Comon thats lazy.

Unclear Pricing

Handy little tool for delving into formats and codecs of your audio and video files.

Developer Response ,

Edit: the modification of the review is greatly appreciated.About the "Unclear Pricing" issue: we never previously got feedback about the In-App Purchase additional cost since we added the In-App Purchase, and we understand that it may be disappointing if there is not enough focus (which is totally understandable, we don't have the time to read all the small bottom lines) on the bottom of the page with the In-App, we'll add in the tool description (in the next version, we can not modify the text without releasing a new version) more details about what is in the Mac App Store purchase and what is in the In-App Purchase.***"most of the features are crippled until you pay an extra £3.50" is factually an untruth, as most of the features are available without the In-App Purchase (report for all formats, different methods for seeing the data, export...). In practice the In-App Purchase is currently for the new "media comparison" feature, which is not advertised as being part of the Mac App Store purchase, and for showing your support of our open source software if you think it is worth it, so you don't absolutely need it before enjoying all the main features of the tool.
"There is no mention of this on the Apple Store that I can see" would be a criticism of Apple as we don't control the display decided by Apple, and actually it is also an untruth, it is indicated e.g. on https://apps.apple.com/app/mediainfo/id510620098 "Price $0.99; In-App Purchases 1. More MediaInfo features $3.99"
