MediBang Paint for iPad 12+

I’m general, I really like it as a drawing app! It’s such a good app for drawing and creating characters, I’m very impressed with all the features! I love how you can store your art in your internal device gallery so you can store them internally on your device! So I’m impressed with that. Would wholly recommend if you can handle ads on your canvas and don’t have £7 to remove them.

I do kinda wish the in-canvas ads were smaller or just straight up weren’t there, or if you had to, allow me to swap where they are, having them at the top of the screen is more distracting for me personally. It’s a bit tricky to work with.

I used to use Medibang quite a lot in the past few years, and everything was fine! Even when the pop up ads that showed up when you closed a canvas were added, i was fine with it. However, I recently noticed a banner ad at the top of the canvas’ toolbar? Which wasn’t too much of an issue, i couid simoky just get the Creative Pack. I had been meaning to get it for awhile whenever I had the money for it. Then, when I went to buy it, the screen for a Premium subscription showed up. Whatever, I coukd just find another tab that’d allow me to buy the Pack, right? Exept it was nowhere.

Personally, I feel like there should be a way to access the product for the one time purchase, considering the only other thing Premium is offering that the Pack doesn’t have is more Cloud storage, which I don’t use or need. I don’t have the spending money to subscribe to a service that I wouldn’t even be using when it came to its main selling point. This has sort of soured my liking for this app, as with the excessive ads everywhere, it feels more like Adware more than a drawing program. I’m hoping that there will be a more accessible way to get the other purchase option in future, but for now, I wouldn’t recommend this app.

When it comes to drawing apps, i would expect a great of deal brushes, downloading materials from online, easy accessibility to controls etc. MediBang just does it all. It’s almost like a free version of clip studio, and in some places it’s just better! I love the gui as it’s easy to use. Brushes seem pretty decent for a free app and most of all... the Ads aren’t shoved in ur face when ur working! (Like in ibispaint). This app works well with Apple Pencil and I have experienced any lag - zero latency just like in procreate. The only thing that concerns me is that the app crashes constantly if I draw on a file larger than 30mb - this is probably due to my iPad Pro not having enough ram, not the app itself. I just lower the resolution to solve this.
In conclusion, if ur broke and want the best procreate/ clip studio alternative, this is ur best bet
