Probably one of the the most used apps I have
If you create your own Flacs or Mp3s from material you already own in the analogue world this is one of the most useful apps ever. Once Ive transposed analogue material into digital files its a quick and easy job to completely metadata it all and name and order the files into an album play order. This along with being able to tag the files with album artwork and deep meta data of the kind thats fun to read on the back of the LP.
My only problem sometimes is that it doesnt get the metadata from the internet everynow and again on more obscure transcriptions so I have to provide it with a few more clues like a link to Discogs or something…no biggy really. The bottom line is you can type in all that you need anyway.
Highly reliable and solid and a no brainer.
thanks for being incredibly useful my music collection salutes you.
It *is* 64-bit. And the dev is very helpful
I love this app. It does jobs no other app (that I've found) has been able to do. Copying tags to tags, replacing tags using "the magic of regular expressions" (srsly, google it if you don't know what that means..!). Anyway I just came to the App Store to check if was 64-bit since this would affect my choices re: macOS Catalina. A review here said that it was only 32-bit and I panicked. But after checking properly, I have now learned (About This Mac / System Report / Applications) it is INDEED 64-bit compatible. Oh, and to clear up another complaint about the dev support - I've had a few emails back and forth with him re: questions I had, all meticulously answered and very very helpful. A great app that probably doesn't need any more updates. It does what it does perfectly already.
Great app - lacking dev support
I love this app and have used it for hundreds, if not thousands of times to tag my music. The hooks into media scrapers - Musicbrain especially - works great.
I can't see where to bring in lyrics however. You can manually add them, but it would be nice to batch this process.
Unfortunately the last update was a few years ago and the app is 32 bit, so it's hard to reccommend unless the developer brings it up to speed.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
