A ray of hope
I am an amateur artist and relatively new to such detailed paintings. I tried the Robin first being small and moved on to the autumn rays. Everybody loves my paintings and they think I am professional but I know different 😂. It was the wonderful tuition of Michael and the video online lessons. The fact you can pick it up and put it down whenever you feel like it helps so much. You can stop when you’ve had enough so you can’t spoil what you’ve done and start again fresh when your inspiration returns. Yes it takes a lot of concentration and some tedious time consuming movements of the paint brush but the end result is fantastic. Your family and friends won’t believe it was you. Persevere and you will see how you change your style in painting for the better. Thank you Michael for sharing such talent with little ole people like me. 👏. I’m now trying the low tide tutorial so I know I’m in for a challenge but it’ll be worth every minute spent on it. Fingers crossed it looks as good as yours Michael 😃.
Super learning opportunity
I’ve taken advantage of the reduced rate and have started on a couple of the Still life paintings. The tuition is very in depth and even though there’s hours of content it’s by no means a leisurely stroll - I’m having to pause on quite a few occasions to catch up with MJS
By being so detailed you get an incredible insight into the way these paintings are constructed, particularly the colour mixing. I’ve previously had about 15 different colours knocking around on my palette and seeing what can be done with 5 or 6 is a real eye opener. Also my palette is a complete mess compared to Michael’s so I’m trying to not slop the paint around so much which is improving the clarity of the colours I mix. What I’m hoping is completing as many of the paintings as I can will sharpen up my own work so I don’t flounder about taking ages over things only to have to paint over or scrub out. So far the online courses are providing a blueprint for how I’d like to go in the future so it’s a definite 5 stars from me.

I have been with Michael a good few years long before MJS/tv
I have enjoyed my lessons with Michael as so many others I have to say I wouldn’t be the Artist I am today Without his immense passion in helping others to achieve
I have enjoyed the journey in learning from Michael and he has taught me so much But I now having to leave this incredible journey for now as I now have created my own style of art work as everybody dose over time
You never stop learning and even from the incredible journey with Michael I’ve even seen in his work has changed in techniques Thank You So Much
