App very unreliable!

I’ve had this system for the past 3+ years. After a few teething problems it worked fine at first but over the past year the app has become totally unreliable and probably only connects properly 20% of the time. Usually it says “connection loss” or just buffers endlessly, despite having no other problems with home wi-fi. I’m so fed up with it that I’m now considering buying a different system. The concept of MiGenie is fine and it’s easy to use when it works properly but it’s an expensive disappointment when you can’t control it remotely. That was the sole reason for me buying it in the first place!

Hi Linniw, that doesn't sound great, can you contact tech support here please by pressing the help button at https://schneider-electric.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb. In the meantime we would advise that you look at rebooting the MiGenie gateway connected to your router, and re-seat the cable between the two, and or try a different port. latest ios update

Had the system for 3 years now. Never had a problem with any updates or anything but latest ios update the app won’t get past the loading splash screen. As i can’t get into app to find help it is hard to sort. Can’t find anything online either. I would recommend but in this current state I can’t

Worked well, upgraded to Wiser

Realised the reviews were outdated. The app is stable for me, connectivity it okay as long as there are no brick walls in between the router and the controller box. It does as advertised, it’s basic but it works. I’ve upgraded to a smart home and will be reinstalling this when moving out. Customer service is good, just make sure you meet the password requirements, otherwise you might have some trouble configuring it in the first case.
