- Mobile Server needs to be updated to 2019 R2.
- The Latest device pack needs to be installed (Milestone XProtect® Device Pack 10.3a )
- Configuration needed on the Video Push driver in the Management client to enable the audio support.

Generally good but one frustrating flaw

I have used this for years. Tried everything else but always come back to this.

One thing I cannot abide however is the way when you are viewing a camera and tap the screen- the controls SLOWWWWWLY fade out, and then when you want them again they SLOWWWWWWLY fade back in.

Why??? I want to tap my screen and acces playback controls. I don’t want to have to wait to see something gracefully fade in before I can use the controls because some designer thought it looked cool.

It is a waste of my time. Let me tap and go, not tap, wait to see it appear...........and then continue working. You end up tapping twice because you thought it didn’t work - so you have to wait for the fade twice.

Might seem a small point but it is comically pointless.

Stopped working 2 releases ago

Permanently get error messages of “unable to connect to server” and you loose connection. It started on the app update before this one and it’s still not fixed.

It crashes the mobile service and I have to remote into my server to restart the service to be able to connect the app again, then guess what? 30 seconds of viewing I loose connection and I get “unable to connect to server”! So I need to restart the mobile service again!
I have 9 customers who are having the same issue! Various versions of MS and OS and 1 common thing! The made the mistake of updating their app!
And something else I noticed it’s doing it on sites with Hikvision cameras installed!
Fix it! I have been reporting this fault for 6 months now!
After over 6 months of the IPhone X being out It still does not fully support the screen! Put a PTZ in landscape by turning phone and try and move the PTZ to the left! Good luck the key is behind the speaker!
Supposed to be a premium product and it’s let down massively by this app! I am sick of my customer complaints and Milestone refusing to fix it

Thank you for providing such detailed feedback – Milestone tries to use all comments to help develop and improve our products, so thanks again for getting in touch.

In response to your comments please update to the latest version, 11.3c, in which we have fixed many issues this version is designed to work most effectively with iOS 11, so please also update this accordingly (if applicable).

Please also ensure you are running Mobile Server to 2017 R3– this is independent of the core license, hence your XProtect version/ SLC will not be affected/ restrict your ability to update.

Additionally, you can enable iOS logging on your device, in order for our Developers to receive live information on the app’s behavior and to enable the fastest and most effective resolution to any reported issues, please enable automatic logging on your device.

Enable the logging feature from your device, via: Settings -> Privacy -> Analytics -> turn on Share iPhone Analytics and Share With App Developers.

Milestone seem complacent

Potential very high, but execution poor, and not well thought through.

Clunky to use, scanning to find footage of interest extremely difficult, and PIP display gets in the way. 1-4x speed screen badly thought through, given how often its needed. We had burglars in our business premises a few minutes before logging in to this app (prompted by alarm sounding), but the reviewing footage feature is so hopeless it jumped right over the interesting bits so we didn't even spot them.

"Connecting" screen comes up too often, and too slow to connect. When re-opening app it should revert to previous system and camera view, instead of system login screen each time - very frustrating.

Could be fantastic, but looks like Milestone have lost interest - no update issued for 6 months. This seems like a "let's jump on the mobile bandwagon" thing rather than a "let's make an awesome mobile experience" thing.
