Million Lords: World Conquest 4+

Pretty good

I’ve had this game for a while now and I can say I’m really enjoying it. The real time attacks keep you on your toes and make sure you have to remain vigilant. Overall it’s good fun.

However the new ‘ wounded troops ‘ feature seems to not work well. In order to heal troops you need to spend sapphires ( which is fair enough ) however the number of sapphires that you need to collect is almost impossible to obtain unless you’re willing to poor money into the game. (there is also an issue as when you attack, your number of wounded goes up and therefore the number of sapphires that you need to heal them does too. Making the number even more unobtainable) As someone that is unable spend money on sapphires, it leaves millions of troops stuck in this wounded menu and as I am sure there are many people that do spend rather a lot on this game, this mechanic seems unbalanced to me.

I understand that this feature was only added very recently but I think something needs to be done to improve the balance between players that cannot/don’t spend money and those that do.

Fun but buggy spin on the genre

I don’t normally write reviews but this game managed to capture my attention surprisingly well. I’ve played plenty in what I suppose I’d call the “tribal wars-like” genre, and this definitely stands out as one of the best.

Visually, the game has a LOT going for it. Interesting art style featuring plenty of customisation, the vast majority of which is free. It’s only changing the style of cities that looks like it might be a paid mechanic, but I’ve yet to discover if there’s any f2p skins.

In terms of gameplay, I’d say it’s about standard for the genre. You (and your clan) capture towns from atop your floating cities. As you grow and upgrade your empire, you get more gold and troops per hour. There’s also temples to capture, which provide clan-wide bonuses. What I like about this game is that you get well-rewarded for screen time, as opposed to strictly for paying money.

My only disappointment so far has been that the game’s fairly buggy. Actions can take a while to register, and on occasion I’ve had to restart the app to fix some issues. Today I was stuck on the loading screen whenever I tried to login, which I’ve get to figure out how to fix. That said, whilst frustrating, I would absolutely say that there’s a great game hidden behind the bugs. Definitely worth a try.

Great game

So this game is great I loved it for the time I played it until I discovered a few problems that limit your growth entirely
1: troops at first troops were easy to gain but as I progressed and entered a war it simply became a matter of who had more soldiers even recruits pure numbers I faced off against and after a certain point I lost the ability to gain troops fast enough because I was facing a powerful enemy and was surrounded by weaker kingdoms that couldn’t be invaded and we suffered because we couldn’t expand we were forced to fight and that is why groups of people cannot exist with each other close together as they will need to actually expand and that means attacking each other as to avoid being left behind the entire game is a arms race
