Why Do I Need MindGarden?
• Meditation can make you healthier, both physically and mentally. Apps such as Calm and Headspace are great but are hard to stick with, which is why we decided to turn a practice that has been around for thousands of years into a game you'll actually stick with.
Researchers have published hundreds of studies investigating the health benefits of meditation. The results consistently indicate that those who meditate regularly have better health than those who don't. Meditation has also been shown to reduce anxiety and lift symptoms of depression.

Who is MindGarden for?
• People become interested in mindfulness and meditation for many reasons, but usually have trouble sticking with it because it's difficult. That's why we turned it into a game. Whether you are a freshman or a mother of two kids you want to feel more focused, happy, and calm. The incredible thing about mindfulness is that no matter why you start practicing, it works. The ability to be present is the foundation to all of these things.

What Experience Should I Have?
• MindGarden is great for both beginners and experienced practitioners. It is set up simply and the meditation courses are wisely selected to help you not feel intimidated by meditation and mindfulness.
Make the act of meditating into a game, where you're collecting coins and cultivating your own garden and soon it becomes a breeze.

Calming when life gets too much

This app is fantastic. I love Bijan’s voice - it’s perfect for meditation. I have followed him for some time on IG. He says such wonderful, sensible things and has such a calm outlook on life, he’s a true inspiration. I have done a few days, and even just the 30 second breathing meditation helped me feel instantly calmer. I love how it gives you a monthly mood tracker (have tried for some time to keep one in a journal and failed!). The meditations end with a chime from a prayer bowl and that itself is soothing. Looking forward to carrying on this practice and finding peace within the stresses of daily life.

Good motivation to self care

I have tried a LOT of mental health apps. I often find that they either require too much for me on low energy days so I find myself getting overwhelmed, or they don't give the guidence and challenge to keep me motivated so I end up forgetting to use them. This app seems to get the balance well though. It gives a daily requirement that isn't too big, but is motivating to log in every day, and then the ability to do more if I want to.

I seem to function best achieving things when they are gamified and when I feel like I am achieving more than just looking after myself by keeping up with my self care. Not only do I earn coins for what I do in this app and get to see my 'garden' of flowers increase each day,but I can even use my coins to by real life trees for the charity this app partners with to plant out in the real world as well as for different plants for my virtual garden. That's great motivation as well as how much encouragement you are given in the app!

Innovative way to meditate

Totally different from other meditation apps in the sense that it is built to be enjoyable much like a game. It really a game changer in the meditation app arena. I think with the functionality and variety of content, people from all ages can enjoy it and build a practice around it because it simply makes meditation fun.

I have other apps like Headspace et al but I never seem to do more than 3 days with those. Mindgarden engages you to log in each day and meditate, journal, reflect on your mood at that moment and to keep planting those flowers in your garden of mindfulness. Before you know it, you’ve already gotten used to meditating!

The meditation sessions also have a different take and perspective on life. You know that is well thought of and experienced. The voice over is soothing and calming.
