The MINI App is only supported by vehicles that were built after March 2018 and have the MINI Connected Services or Teleservices optional equipment in combination with a compatible smartphone. The Remote Services optional equipment is required for an optimum app experience. The availability of app functions may vary from country to countr and vehicle configuration.

It’s not working, again - update - works now

Can not log in to the app or on line. Clearly there is an issue with log in, errors and suggests come back later and retry. This has been ongoing for a couple of days now. Yes I do have an account and yes it worked previously. Sad as when this works it’s great, but lots of the time there are errors and issues. Shame.

Update- apparently my old password was too short, hence all the issues after advised to log out to fix. Closed account and set up a new one with a longer acceptable password, and all fine. Been working well since then and no more issues.

Second class mini owners now!

Received a reply to this which means nothing to me! All I want to know is why you have taken this away from pre 2018 mini owners and when is it going to be reconnected as you keep telling people - not technical jargon! It is not fare or reasonable to remove a feature of our cars that people rely on.

I asked about this before. Bought a 2017 mini clubman a year ago, the most expensive car I have ever owned, and will have to last me as long a humanly possible, to drive my disabled daughter to numerous different hospitals regularly. The mini connected app was great to help me get organised - then they disabled the old one and brought out the new one and all of a sudden I’m a ‘second-class’ mini owner. No longer allowed to use the app, which, instead of proudly showing a picture of my car shows a mini covered in a grey sheet, and now tells me my mileage and petrol and does absolutely nothing else. Promised we would be promoted to ‘first class’ soon and it never happened. Now there is a note saying you have to have the ‘mini connected package; or something? I paid a small fortune for this car, with the mini connected on the idrive, and the mini connected app on my phone and even bought a different iphone because mine was too big for the cute little compartment, and now I have nothing. I have asked, complained, reviewed, been extremely patient - and been ignored. Gets me so angry every time I get in my car

Hi 'Samster 10'! Thank you for your feedback! The MINI App is indeed optimised for vehicles that have been produced after 03/2018 with a Connected package including the option “ConnectedDrive Services“ (SA 6AK) and "Remote Services" (SA 6AP). With version 1.5.0. of the MINI App, vehicle data is available via USB or Bluetooth for vehicles produced before 03/2018 with “MINI Connected” (SA 6NM) as the only option. The MINI App also supports vehicles produced after 03/2018 that do not have "Remote Services" (SA 6AP) but are equipped with "MINI Visual Boost" (SA6FP) and "TeleServices" (SA 6AE)/ "Intelligent Emergency Call" (SA 6AC). Remote Services can be booked via the MINI Connected Shop. Vehicles produced between 2015 and 03/2018 with the options "TeleServices" (SA 6AE)/ "Intelligent Emergency Call" (SA 6AC), "Legal Emergency Call" (SA 6AF) and "MINI Connected" (SA 6NM) are currently not supported by the MINI App. Our development team is working on a MINI App integration of the vehicle data for these vehicles. - MINI App Support Team

Finally getting better - Miles fixed

Firstly an apology. It was suggest by app support on here back in July 21 that my country was set incorrectly and I should contact Mini connect support. They were right. When I phoned mini back in July they couldn’t see it. However when looking at my profile on a webpage, at the very bottom of the account data, it says DE English. Obviously the support guys and I missed this. It’s been changed to GB and miles are back! You can’t change it yourself, but a quick call to mini support and they opened a ticket which was resolved in a couple of days and the App updated to GB instantly.
Yes, it’s not got some of the functionality of the old app (for petrol / diesel cars anyway) but having miles back makes it useful again. Within the app you can check the localisation now too; click on the person icon in the bottom right to bring up your profile. Next, tap on cog icon in the top right and select profile data. Finally, tap on the words “Your Profile” at the top left and select “Account Data” from the drop down. You’re localisation will be listed at the bottom of the page if you scroll down. Hope this helps.
