Your subscription automatically renews 24 hours prior to expiration. Auto-renew can be turned off in the Settings app which allows the subscription to expire at the end of the current period.

Version 3.5
A major competitor, whom may remain nameless, has asked us to change our logo on account of its vague similarity to their own. Apparently they are worried their customers will mistake Minimalist for a simpler version of their own product and make the switch. Imagine that!
While we disagree entirely with the assertion that anyone would confuse Minimalist with another product, we also have no desire to engage in an expensive court battle with one of the largest password manager makers in the space.
Instead we are taking this opportunity to remember exactly why we created Minimalist is the first place; to be a better password manager company!
So today we are announcing three major changes to help us get back to our roots:
1. A bold new logo! We have designed a bold new logo which uniquely identifies Minimalist amongst the countless competitors out there. And given that you’ll be looking at this logo on your home screens everyday, we want your input. Please send all feedback, ideas, and/or alternative designs to hello@minimalistpassword.com .
2. Return of the one-time purchase! While we strongly believe that reasonably priced subscriptions are key to building a sustainable software business on the App Store, we also sympathize with everyone out there who simply can't stand subscriptions! So starting today we are reinstating the one-time purchase option. You can now get one step closer to ridding your digital life of subscriptions, once and for all!
3. All purchases are now family purchases! We share everything with our families. Love and laughter, food and vacations, income and expenses. Everything. That's why we've enabled Apple Family Sharing on all Minimalist purchases; past, present and future! Spare, speedy, superb
With so many password managers it can be hard to pick. For many years I used 1Password but jibbed at the subscription and never much warmed to it because of the small font which made content difficult to read on a high res monitor. The only alternatives I found that were more user-friendly in this respect (and also cheaper) were Bitwarden and Minimalist. Both good, but Minimalist is much more direct and faster to use once you grasp its way of doing things. Just type the first few letters of a login title, without even activating a search field, and as often as not the item will open directly with no further clicks. Categorisation and icons are just a distraction from lightning fast search. Autosave also helps to reduce friction. Other useful features are archiving, a good password generator and large type passwords with underlying numbers (for those websites that want the 3rd, 6th and 12th character). To cap it all the dev is very responsive and the roadmap is full of promise.
Superb
I gave up on Wallet by Acrylic Software because it is no longer supported and was getting problems with it. I exported the content into Excel, tidied up as much as I could, then imported into Minimalist. Then the work really began creating my database of secure information.
I have found Minimalist superb. I have designed my own templates (e.g. to keep details of my cars) as well as used their standard ones. It is extremely flexible aand visually very simple and clear.
I was initially concerned it did not have folders/icons for different types of password, but this is not needed. It is better to set the keywords corrected, then everything relevant appears on screen.
Overall extremely pleased and happy to pay a reasonable fee each year for software that is proberly supported.
Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant!
I was tired of being force-fed features I didn't need at price increases I didn't want to pay by 1Password. Step in Minimalist and all my troubles were over. A one-off payment for a perfect UX, incredible customer service and all the things that made 1Password a hit almost 10 years ago. It's even a treat to read the updates notes every new release - therse guys actually listen and respond.
