Description
miniVAN Touch is a mobile canvassing application that integrates with websites provided by NGP VAN. The miniVAN system allows users to export canvassing lists from VAN onto an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. Canvassers can then enter data into their device as they talk to people on their list. When the canvassers connect their device to the Internet over a wireless or cellular network, they can upload their data back to the VAN with the touch of a button. Administrative users on the VAN can then review the data and apply it to the database in one quick step.
Canvassing with miniVAN allows NGP VAN clients to spend more time and resources on actually contacting people instead of on data entry. What’s more, it virtually eliminates the lag time between collecting canvass results and putting that data to work.

Invaluable for canvassing
Compared to paper, this app is a godsend.
Could be better (show you what % of the list is done in total and other stats for your entire team?), but it’s pretty decent at what it does.
No one at home
The app could do with a single button to mark all in a household as not being at home as it’s tedious and time consuming to have to go into each person’s record.
Different minivan lists
Easy to use.
One feature that would be useful is a button to toggle between minivan lists when you have more than one canvass on the go over a period of time. Having to look up and re-enter the list is something that could be improved.
Also in and out of same streets - toggle back to the last street would be great to.
Otherwise really useful.
