The subscription to Mirai Japanese enables you to download all the existing lessons plus additional new lessons that are published every month.
These additional lessons continue the language course. The course and the subscription to it is ongoing in nature, taking you from beginner level to advanced and beyond.
* Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase.
* Your subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
* Your iTunes Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, and will clearly identify the cost of the renewal.
* You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Account Settings after purchase.

My top Japanese App
This is a great app for complete beginners to learn Japanese on the go. The standard apps requires you sitting down and really focusing on the study materials, which i would have got bored and stopped. After completing the first ten free lessons i was hooked. I paid a single subscription and crazily completed all available lessons. Had been listening to it all the time; shopping, on the tube, cooking, showering and even in the toilets - not easy! And only because i had set myself a challenge to unlock and download all lessons. Note that lessons are unlocked by completing a super quiz in each chapter and downloaded lessons remain available in your app even when you unsubscribe. I am still using it on a daily basis as i have yet to redo all of the super quizzes with flying colours. I feel that other reviewers are unfair to downgrade a great app just because they don't have more lessons and if you could read between the line it only meant that the app is so good that they wanted more. It is so easy to turn love into hate. I have since started using other apps and i thank Mirai Japanese on a daily basis, I wouldn't have been able to cope starting with these other apps without the foundations here.

Best Japanese app
I have iKanji and iKana, which are good apps to support learning there writing part, is excellent. It really gets you engaged and speaking quickly and learning grammar. I really think Mirai have the best method of teaching a language of all teach yourself methods I’ve tried, with a good combination of lessons and exercises and the saveable vocabulary is gold. I really hope they work on releasing a wide array of languages. They’ve been around for years and don’t seem to have gotten around to it so I wonder if it’s a funding problem maybe or findings right speakers?
No updates
This app is great for learning Japanese and would be a five star app except it has gone to subscription model AND there have been no updates for a year. I'm stopping my subscription because I have finished all the content. I hope this means I will still be able to keep the lessons I've downloaded and completed as I've paid months of subscription for them. If when my subscription expires, I lose them, I will downgrade this review to one star. It would be unfair after how much I've paid to be downgraded to the first ten chapters. [Edit: my subscription lapsed and, thankfully, I still have access to the lessons I'd finished!]
As a previous reviewer has said, the lack of communication on the part of the devs is very disappointing. I too have tried to contact them in many ways to no avail. Shame as this *was* a five star app. I'm starting to suspect the team working on it has disbanded.
For those just thinking of trying this app, the content is, for the most part, very good; there are some errors in the lessons, but if you've been following closely they shouldn't confuse you much. You can try the first bit for free, afterwards you need to weigh whether it's worth it to you to pay for the subscription knowing that you'll get 3/4 of the way through the course (which is designed to get you to JLPT N5) and it will abruptly stop.
