Wake-on-LAN for easy wake up calls. Use your iPhone or iPad to power up a sleeping Mac or PC on your network.
- Easy detection of local computers with Bonjour and NETBIOS lookup.
- Can ping your computer to check, when it it is ready.
- Broadcast on a LAN.
- Works from other networks as 3G and WIFI.
- Can keep 30 configurations for computers to WOL.
- Build in help guides.
HOW IT WORKS:
When you select a computer to wake, a special UDP data frame is broadcast on the LAN. When the sleeping computer see the data frame, it will wake up. If the iPhone or iPad is on another network, such as 3G, you must first configure the HOME router to forward the special UDP package.
- IP address field in menu - configure could be hidden
- New icon

Works great but needs small change
This app works fine and starts my server every time. I would just make a small change to the design to have the wake up option on the front screen. 4 options to get to the only thing you are ever likely to select is too many
Works well over LAN and 3G. If you plan to use over 3G then ensure your home router is capable of performing wol fully. Some supplied home routers will not allow you to broadcast wol from external addresses as its seen as a network attack. I had to manually add arp entries in router and turn off mocha broadcast option for external 3G connection to work
The interface is a little basic but it does what it says. Looks like it could use an update to the latest screen sizes of the iPhone 6, and I've had it crash a few times when I try to return to the app. But it does work well.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
